Mearley Lime Kiln, Pendle
East Lancashire has a scattered distribution of lime kilns which are proving important sites for bat conservation.
The bat group has been researching the use of lime kilns by bats to reveal population dynamics and distribution of Myotis species and Brown Long Eared bats.
